News: Summer courses at Rambert

Rambert: Adult Intensive

Rambert has announced its programme of summer courses, with something on offer for dance lovers of all ages and abilities. Taking place at the dance company’s home on the South Bank, the courses are curated by Rambert’s Guest Artistic Director Benoit Swan Pouffer and will be delivered by an impressive group of guest artists including Jon Bond (Dance Theater of Harlem, Nederlands Dance Theater), Ebony Williams (Beyonce’s Single Ladies music video) and Winifred Burnet-Smith (Hofesh Shechter and Russell Maliphant Companies) among others. Youth courses

26 – 30 July

Three courses for three different age groups (ages 8 – 17), spanning ballet, jazz and contemporary dance. The courses are delivered by Rambert Animateur Hannah Lockyer, Matthew Rich and Abdur-Rahim Jackson (Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet).

Adult Intensive

7 – 17 August

This new adult intensive consists of a series of morning workshops spanning ballet, jazz and contemporary dance. Led by the guest artists with Rambert’s Guest Artistic Director, Benoit Swan Pouffer, it’s for intermediate-level dancers with a minimum of two years’ dance experience, A-Level dance students, and those in their first year of professional training.

Summer Residency

6 – 26 August

This three-week course is for advanced dancers looking to enhance their practice through a daily ballet class, followed by workshops and masterclasses with the guest artists. It culminates in the creation of a site-specific dance work using the entire Rambert building as a stage, which will be open to the public.
